I'm a INFJ-A. What are you?

Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do? Or why you react the way you do to certain situations? The Myers-Briggs is a personality test that will explain it all to you!

My boyfriend had come home telling me about this personality test he took at work. The reason for his employer giving the test was a team-building exercise to help better understand one another, and in turn work well as a team. My boyfriend was very excited about the results of the test because they were so spot on with his personality. So naturally, I was intrigued with what my results would say.

You guys...it was eerie how accurate mine was!

I had heard about the Myers-Briggs test before and quite possibly had taken the test during some class in school growing up. I had never, however, taken it in my adult life. So I was interested in what it would tell me. First, I was very surprised with the questions and their multiple choice answers- as I was going through each question, I was struck with the realization of what answers I would have gravitated to just a few years ago. Which were the complete opposite from my current choices. It was a nice measurement of my growth over the past few years. The rules tell you not to overthink your answers and to be honest- even if you don't like the answer you choose! After all, we are going for accuracy- so there's no point in fibbing on an answer, because your results won't reflect you exactly as you are!

So I took the test and was in awe with the assessment.

I'm such an open book, I decided to share my results with you all.

Quiet and mystical, yet very inspiring and tireless idealists.

Role: Diplomat

For a more extensive explanation of this, read this link DIPLOMAT

Diplomats focus on empathy and cooperation, shining in diplomacy and counselling. People belonging to this type group are cooperative and imaginative, often playing the role of harmonizers in their workplace or social circles. These traits make Diplomats warm, empathic and influential individuals, but also cause issues when there is a need to rely exclusively on cold rationality or make difficult decisions.

Strategy: Confident Individualism

For a more extensive explanation of this, read this link CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALISM

Confident Individualists prefer doing things alone, choosing to rely on their own skills and instincts as opposed to seeking contact with other people. They know what they are good at and have high self-confidence. These personality types firmly believe that personal responsibility and trust in yourself are very important values. Confident Individualists do not pay much attention to other people’s opinions and prefer to rely on themselves.

I think the biggest part that shook me to my core was the results from the career path section:

"...INFJ's succeed best in the healthcare field- primarily of the holistic variety. INFJ's find it most rewarding to start their own practice and become self-employed..."

Hello! Well, if I ever had any doubt about what I should be doing with my life- I should worry no further! Phew!

I think the Myers-Briggs test is such a wonderful resource to help you better understand yourself and come to terms with who you are as an individual.

Take the test yourself and see your results!

The test is free and only takes a few minutes!

Have your loved ones take the test too! The more we can understand each other and why we function the way we do can only help our relationships with one another....maybe that's the INFJ in me talking, but I truly think so many struggle with who they are and if this simple, free test can help them feel more settled and confident in who they are- then watch out world!
